Villa Chiara - Taormina

Das Hotel war für 2-Sterne-Kategorie sehr gut. Unser Zimmer war sauber und hatte einen hübschen Balkon. Vom Hotel konnte man mit einem Shuttle- Bus zum Strand + Liegen mit Sonnenschirm - 7 bzw. 8 € P.P. - das war viel günstiger, als wenn mn selbst mit dem Bus fährt und vor Ort bezahlt. Der Strand war sauber und mit einer Dusche ausgestattet.

Leider besass das Hotel, im Gegensatz zur Hotelbeschreibung, keinen eigenen Waschsalon. Auf Anfrage wurde man auf einen externen Waschsalon in der Stadt verwiesen., Der ca. 500 m vom Hotel entfernt liegt. Auf der Terrasse konnte man zwar sitzen, aber nicht den Meeresblick genießen, da dort ständig Hotelwäsche zum Trocknen aufgehängt wurden. Wir verbrachten 7 Tage in diesem Hotel, und das war jeden Tag der Fall.

Es gab einen privaten Parkplatz, den wir im Vorfeld reserviert hatten - ganz toll und auch sehr sinnvoll, weil es sonst in der Nähe keine Möglichkeit gibt, das Auto abzustellen.

Familiaeres Hotel, netter Empfang und eine ideale Lage, da in unmittelbarer Naehe zum Corso und dem griechischen Theater! Sauberes und gepflegtes Hotel.

Towels were rough; room a/c unit did not cool the entire room;

It is near the city centre in a quiet street and the staff is very friendly.

The building is a little old but correct.

The location is excelent, very close to the city center.

The bathroom was dirty, specially the curtain. The hotel offers a 120€ shuttle to the Airport, but a taxi will cost 100€ and the bus just 7.50€. Contrary to the pictures, the breakfast area does not have any views. If you are unlucky, like myself, your room may face a wall. The breakfast is very basic. The bread was hard, there is no fruit, no cereals, and every day there is the same red drink that did not taste like real juice. The internet does not work in the room most of the time. For this price, I think there should be better options in Taormina.

The proprietor and his wife were extremely welcoming and friendly over a two week stay. The breakfasts were substantial for a continental breakfast and the room was very comfortable and clean. We would definitely recommend this hotel for an enjoyable stay,excellent value and a convenient location off the main street - the Corso.

Posizione centralissima, camera sufficientemente pulita.

Parcheggio privato piccolo e oneroso, stanza al primo piano con passaggio veicoli molto rumorosa, colazione senza possibilità di scelta.
